The nPro Plus license extends existing user licenses with powerful additional features for district and heat network planning, as well as access to the nPro Building Atlas™.
What does the Plus license offer?
The Plus license includes additional features for companies that use nPro intensively for feasibility studies, transformation plans or heat network studies. The Plus license provides access to the nPro Building Atlas™ and the GIS module for potential analyses, and enables unlimited report exports for district projects as well as exports in your corporate design.

Access to the nPro Building Atlas™
The Plus licence provides access to the nPro Building Atlas: a Germany-wide building database developed specifically for heat demand calculations, district analyses and heating network planning. It contains building-level information on space heating and domestic hot water demands, building types, building heights, construction years and floor areas, among others. The Building Atlas draws on a range of data sources such as census data, 3D building models from the German federal states, OpenStreetMap data and state-specific heat cadastre data. Data is retrieved directly within nPro – with no additional interfaces, external tools or manual data preparation. For more information, see the nPro Building Atlas documentation. Data retrieval in the Building Atlas is subject to a quota of 10,000 buildings per month, which should always be sufficient for typical district and heating network projects.
Bulk download for larger areas: For analyses that go beyond individual districts – such as municipal heat planning at city scale – we offer building data as a bulk download from approximately 5,000 buildings upwards (also for companies that do not use the nPro software). You receive the data as a GIS file (GeoJSON) for further processing in your own GIS environment. Depending on the size of the area and the level of detail, costs range between €0.01 and €0.10 per building. Get in touch – we will prepare an individual quote for you.
Module for potential analyses
The Plus license gives you access to the module for potential analyses: an automated assessment of local energy potentials in the vicinity of a district. The analysis covers waste heat from industry and commerce, existing heat networks, wastewater treatment plants, surface waters, solar thermal energy, deep geothermal energy, biogas and biomass plants as well as wind, photovoltaic and hydropower plants – each with key figures such as capacity, area or distance to the district boundary. The analysis is based on official and open data sources, harmonized into a single data model. It runs directly in nPro and replaces time-consuming research across individual technical portals and geoportals. This lets you evaluate supply options for districts, heat networks and municipal heat planning within minutes – for example as a data basis for feasibility studies under BEW Module 1. Unlimited report exports
Report exports for single-building and energy hub projects are unlimited in all licenses. Only for district projects does the Basic license apply a quota of 10 report exports per month and user license, which is credited automatically at the beginning of each month. The Plus license removes this limitation: companies with a Plus license can export an unlimited number of reports in Word format. Excel exports are unlimited in both license variants.
Exports in your corporate design
With the Plus license, Excel exports can be generated in your company’s corporate design. Custom colors and your own logo can be stored for this purpose. For Word reports, a custom logo can be stored as well. This way, reports, tables and analyses are output directly in a professional, company-specific look, eliminating additional post-processing steps.
Upgrading from Basic to Plus
A Plus license can be ordered directly together with an nPro license at the time of purchase. Only one Plus license per company is required, i.e. a Plus license extends the features of all user licenses within a company. Existing customers can upgrade from Basic to Plus during an ongoing license period. The upgrade cost is calculated pro rata based on the remaining term. All prices can be found on the order page.
